Today’s guest is Randy Bishop, an entrepreneur with experience founding, running, and scaling high-growth consumer and B2B businesses. He is currently the President and Co-founder of ContractSafe. We first met in 2010 at Verengo Solar, where he was the CEO. I absolutely loved my experience working at Verengo, largely due to the people-first culture he and co-founder Ken Button built, where the core values were not just words on a wall but felt and embraced throughout the company.
In this episode, we discuss how his experience living abroad as a child and young adult played a role in shaping the person he has become. We learn how working at Intuit early in his career provided mentorship and leadership role models that he would influence how he would ultimately run his own companies. Randy bishop shares how trust has played a central theme in his life and has proven to be a key component to his success both personally and professionally.
Randy talks about his experience being a part of the Young Presidents Organization and how strategic advisors have played a critical role in helping him as an entrepreneur. He also shares why most businesses take longer than expected to achieve success and reveal some of the challenges he has had to overcome while building businesses in difficult conditions. If you are a leader or entrepreneur you are sure to find value in learning from Randy and his experiences so please enjoy this episode of Insight Out!
